GREEK ROAD TAROT
Walking in the Athens streets, I found the following 6 cards in the following order:
J♠️ - 8♠️ - 5♣️ - Q♣️ - 6♣️ - K🖤
First, I looked down at my feet and in the road there was the Jack of Spades. (Corresponds to the Knight or Page of Swords in the traditional Tarot). When I spot a playing card while I’m walking, wherever I am, I always take it home and see if it has something to tell me. While I was reading about this card,
the text mentioned another card set for cartomancy called the Lenormand set.

The Lenormand cards bear the name of Marie Anne Lenormand, a French fortune-teller who supposedly advised leaders of the French Revolution. After her death, game-makers released the Grand Jeu (“Big Game”) and Petit Jeu (“Little Game”), both inspired by her divination practices.

I had never heard of these Lenormand cards, but I could see the resemblance with the traditional and much more well-known Tarot cards. ------->
But what caught my eye in this particular circumstance was that there’s a major street near where I stay in Athens called Lenorman. So I thought I should go walking down Lenorman with my eyes open. Sure enough in just 4 blocks there was the Eight of Swords (spades) laying in the road waiting for me.
Ok that’s 2 messages and a direction of change (as in the I Ching — Chinese Classic of Changes). I thought that was enough, and more than enough.
But within a day, there, lying in the road, right in my path, was the Five of Clubs (or Wands). Ok, this is already a bit much, I thought. This was going to require a lot of reading and interpretation…that is, a lot of work.

But when the Universe is speaking to you, well it doesn’t happen that often, and not at such length. So you carefully pick up the card and do your research and copy out the most meaningful parts of it. That’s 3 cards! More than I’d ever found in a short period of time
But then…. Just to be sure it had my full attention, the Universal Dealer, in quick succession deals out, in the road… in MY road, the Queen of Clubs (Wands), the Six of Wands, and to put the seal on it, my card — the King of Hearts.
Honestly, it’s a little annoying. Like the Universe is shouting at me! Hey, you! Like I haven’t been paying attention? Or I’ve been insensitive and/or overconfident and/or lazy? Jeez, Universe, I’m doing the best I can. I think…? Or is there something extra important to extract from all this? You could just tell me… or is that just what You’re trying to do?
(lol… I’m imagining god getting exasperated…. Sheesh!! BUT!! ...my deity has a terrific and divine sense of humor…).
Ok I’ve done my research and copied the most meaningful parts here. Take a look, if this sort of thing interests you.
J♠️ Knight of Swords (Jack of Spades)
In a general context, the Knight of Swords is a change card, it tells you that a big change is coming, one you have been awaiting for quite some time and you better be ready to roll with it when it does. It’s time to jump in and seize the moment! This is a Minor Arcana card of being assertive, direct, honest, quick witted and intellectual. The Knight of Swords suggests that you are quick to take action and tend not to plan ahead, instead preferring to dive right in. You thrive on high levels of energy that propel you forward and inspire you to take action to manifest your goals.

You love to engage with others who have similar skills so that you can share your ideas and develop new points of view. You may be best suited to discussion groups with like-minded individuals where you can fire each other up and motivate one another.
8♠️ Eight of Swords
The general meaning in the Eight of Swords is that of a feeling of being trapped and victimized. You may feel powerless because, in your mind, you feel that changing the situation might be beyond you. This feeling of helplessness that you have, the feeling that you have no agency in your life, has played a major role in making your situation worse.
On the Eight of Swords is a woman who is tied up and blindfolded. There are eight swords placed strategically around her in a way that restricts her movement as though she is in some kind of trap or jail. However, it seems as though whoever built the trap was a little lazy or hasty, leaving some open space where she could escape. But because of the blindfold preventing the woman from seeing, she has no way of finding her way out of the trap. The barren land around her might signify a lack of creativity of some sort, while the grey sky in the background can signify despair, since there she feels that there is no hope of her breaking free from the kind of situation that she is bound to. If only she could take the blindfold off, she would see that she could simply just walk out of this situation.
Surrendering one’s power to an unknown entity, whether it's fate, or God, the government or something else means that you are giving away your own personal responsibility to affect change. You have willingly relinquished the driver's seat in your own life, and it isn't going well for you. It is advisable for you to avoid making an important decision at this time since your judgment is likely clouded
5♣️ Five of Wands
The Five of Wands depicts five men all holding their own wands and brandishing them up in the air. Like with most fives in the tarot, it is about some kind of disagreement that is facing the querent. This has become my card. It has come to feel right, and it often turns up now that I'm in the last quarter of life.
My card used to be the 8 of cups, which depicts a traveler turning his back on eight perfectly good cups, and searching? or wandering? behind some mountains off in the distance, overlooked by a melancholy sun.
